Terms & Conditions of Sale - Internet Orders
- These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights
- We are registered under the data protection act and will not pass your details to third parties.
These terms & conditions relate to all orders placed on Kent Home Improvements.

1.1 By completing our online order form you agree to these Terms and Conditions which form the only agreement between us.
2.1 Variation of these terms can only be made by us in writing
PRICE AND PAYMENT
3.1. The prices that apply to any order are those offered on our web site at the time of ordering.
3.2. Where you request a quotation for a product not listed on our site the quotation price shall apply provided the quotation is in date.
3.3. All prices are subject to carriage and other charges as set out on the order form.
3.4. Full payment is due at the time of order unless other terms are agreed in writing.
3.5. Account customers payments shall be due in accordance with the agreed terms.
3.6. In the event of payment not being made when due, or of payment not being honoured by your bank, we will take action to recover the debt and will charge interest at 5% over the HSBCs current base rate until full payment (including all interest and our costs) is received, whether before or after judgement.
Due to a number of attempts at fraudulent use of credit cards on our site, we will now only process orders through our HSBC secure verification system, If HSBC cannot authorize we will not receive the order and therefore will be unable to process it. We are sorry for any inconvenience thereby caused.
Please note we can only deliver to the card holder's address
|We aim to deliver within 28 days and many standard stock items are delivered within 7 days.|
Made to measure items will only be ordered on receipt of conformation of sizes and delivery times will be advised at that time.
We deliver across most of the south of the country on our own vehicles and may use carriers to other areas or for urgent deliveries.
For Heavy items including windows and doors we generally use our own transport within the area shown . For deliveries to other areas we may not be able to arrange for an economical delivery or may have to charge an extra premium. We will always confirm when processing your enquiry.
We can specify the day but unfortunately cannot guarantee a delivery time.
If a particular delivery time or date is required please note this on your order and we will contact you before processing the order to advise if this is possible.
Receipt of goods
All deliveries must be signed for on receipt. If packaging looks damaged please sign as damaged on delivery note. If you suspect the items inside the packaging to be damaged, please check and sign for accordingly. If your items turn out to be damaged and you havent signed for them as damaged we will not send FOC replacements out. If you have signed as anything apart from 'damaged' we will not be able to claim from the delivery company
For all deliveries you must arrange for someone to be in to accept delivery.
Orders to Mainland England and Wales start at £15 inc vat delivery charge for weekday deliveries.
Bulky items, such as doors and fencing may incure higher postage costs, these will automatically be calculated by our system for you.
We can deliver by courier on a Saturday for £25 on in stock items, provided your order is placed before 12pm on a Friday
For orders placed after 12pm on a Friday we will contact you to advise of the next possible delivery date.
If any items are out of stock, we will notify you as soon as we can to re-arange delivery.
All deliveries must be signed for on receipt. Please check the packaging and its contents for any damage. If packaging looks damaged please sign as damaged on delivery note.
If you suspect the items inside the packaging to be damaged, please check before the courier leaves and sign for accordingly.
If your items turn out to be damaged and you haven't signed for them as damaged we will not be able to claim from the delivery company, and as a result we will not send FOC replacements out.
For Offshore locations we will advise on delivery charges upon receipt of order.
We reserve the right to refuse or accept any order and to charge delivery for oversized items or items that require special handling.
You must notify us of any access problems (e.g. Narrow or stepped access) at the time of your order enquiry.
Any delivery charges will be stated on our order acceptance
If we are unable to make a previously arranged delivery due to incorrect access details being given, or if no one is available to accept a delivery, or if no one is available to assist with large or heavy items we will charge for subsequent attempts to deliver.
CANCELLATION OF ORDERS
5.1 Orders for stock items can be cancelled up to 5days before despatch date by giving details in writing by post, fax or Email.
5.2 Cancellations of special order or made to measure items can only be accepted where manufacture has not commenced.
5.3 Stock items that have been ordered in error can be returned only on receipt of a returns number from us. Such return requests must be made within 10 days of your receipt of goods and the goods must be received by us within 10 days of our issue of the returns number. These returns will be subject to a 20% restocking charge and the return carriage costs will be borne by you. Any returned goods that are unsaleable will not be credited.
FAULTS & DISCREPANCIES
6.1 In the event that goods are found to be faulty or have discrepancies in the order, this should be reported to us within 2 days of receipt. We will arrange for the goods to be inspected on site (large items) or uplifted and replaced.
6.2 If items are delivered faulty or damaged you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery, photographic evidence must be sent to us to confirm the damage. All faults and discrepancies will then be dealt with on a case by case basis.
7.1 We will replace faulty goods or those that have discrepancies with the order at our expense but will not be liable for any labour cost, administrative cost, loss of profit or any other compensation arising from any problem relating to the goods.
7.2 Delivery times are given as a guide and we will not be liable for any loss or cost resulting from a late delivery.
7.3 We cannot be held liable for any failure or delay due to acts of God, strikes, fire, war, accidents, strikes, lock outs, foot and mouth restrictions or other contingencies outside our control.
7.4 Our web site contains a great number of measurements and details and these are offered as a guide only. If any measurement is found to be wrong and causes a problem for you we will replace or refund the value of the product but will not be liable for cost or compensation.
8.1 Disputes arising from our supply shall be dealt with under English Law.
8.2 These conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
WARRANTIES & SUITABILITY
9.1 Where a guarantee is given that exceeds your entitlement under English Law such guarantees are offered by the product manufacturer and not Kent Home Improvements. We will assist you in pursuing any claim you have under a manufacturers guarantee.
9.2 This site is published with the intention of assisting you, our customers and all information is provided in good faith. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information or suitability for purpose of any product. We, any of our staff or directors will not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of this site or the information within it.
COPYRIGHT & TRADEMARKS
10.1 The information on this site is copyright of Kent Home Improvements. You may copy the information for the sole purpose of ordering from us. Any other use of this site and its contents is prohibited without our written agreement.
10.2 Trade marks and names included in this site are owned by us or our suppliers and should not be used in a way that infringes on their holders rights.
ONLINE SECURITY & SAFETY
11.1 We will do our utmost to ensure that we deal with you in a safe way.
11.2 We use a secure server for credit card transactions (see the padlock in the bottom left of the screen) to protect your card information. However we cannot accept any liability for any loss incurred by customers using email or the Internet.
11.3 Our Computer system is protected by a firewall that is designed to prevent hackers from gaining access to our computer held records. We cannot guarantee that hackers will not break our security and will not accept any liability of any loss if such an event occurs.
11.4 We use antivirus software to scan all emails before transmission but we cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss arising from such an event occurring.
Due to a number of attempts at fraudulent use of credit cards on our site, we will now only process orders that we can verify within 48 hours of receipt by telephone. If we are unable to contact you in that time the order will be deemed as fraudulent and will not be processed further. We are sorry for any inconvenience thereby caused.
